Really good movie with really beautiful cinematography and an absolutely rocking soundtrack. Excellent acting and direction, that said I had no idea what was I getting into when I started watching it. It’s sort of brightly lighted noir movie.
It reminded me a lot of A History of Violence because of how it develops, though it’s probably even more violent and even better of a movie. Really recommended. I haven’t seen many of the nominated movies this year but i’m surprised Gosling didn’t even get nominated this year for the Golden Globes because his perfomance was superb. Watch out for Hellboy (erm, Ron Perlman) as a jewish gangster.
